The Tribesmen only found out about their progression to the play-offs on Thursday as Wexford won their appeal to put Galway ahead of Cabinteely in the league table. It was a hard-fought contest at the Carlisle Grounds but it was Wilson Wawaru who found the winner as he capitalised on some terrible Wanderers defending to finish in the 82nd minute. However, De Town wouldn't be denied and Gorman, once again, headed home from a corner just three minutes later. It looked like penalties but with the very last kick of the game, Dean Byrne scored an incredible 25-yard strike to put De Town into the First Division play-off final. They will face Galway United in the First Division final.
