When Dundalk pin their tactical instructions to the dressing room wall on Saturday afternoon, it is likely that the name of Ger Rowe will be circled in red.

Some of The Lilywhites' younger supporters may be unaware of the Crumlin United forward, but anyone who has been around the SSE Airtricity League over the last decade will have heard about the man known as Buzzer.

Formerly of Shelbourne, St Patrick's Athletic, Shamrock Rovers, Bray Wanderers, and Dundalk, the Dubliner is someone who wreaked havoc on defences due to his acceleration, clever movement and eye for goal.

Rowe has not been involved in the League for a number of years but at 33 years of age he is one of Crumlin's main men - and Dundalk will be wary of the potential impact he could have on their Irish Daily Mail FAI Senior Cup tie.

Crumlin have come to rely heavily on Rowe, who is likely to operate in a withdrawn striker role, and his link-up play with ex-Bohemians striker Conor Murphy is exceptional.

Wexford witnessed that at first hand in the previous round of the Cup, so Dundalk will be on full alert at the Iveagh Grounds.
