Shelbourne bolstered their squad with the recruitment of Jamie Doyle, who returns the club just a few months after leaving for Bohemians. The powerful forward, who can also play out wide, was voted as the Players' Player of the Year last season following a terrific campaign for the Dublin outfit. Yet, he wanted to test himself in the Premier Division with Bohemians and joined Keith Long's side at the beginning of the 2017 season. But it didn't go exactly the way that Doyle would have liked it to. Doyle left Dalymount Park by mutual consent and with no hard feelings. And that prompted Shels boss Owen Heary to move quickly to bring the former UCD man back to Tolka Park. Meanwhile, Cabinteely have signed Dean Casey from Bohemians, while Longford Town have brought in both Paul Finnegan and Sam Verdon.
