It's now five games unbeaten in the SSE Airtricity League for Finn Harps, after they managed a 0-0 draw with Shelbourne on Friday night.

The visitors had few chances at Tolka Park, but defended when they needed to, to move level on points with Drogheda and Galway in second place in the table.

Manager Ollie Horgan tells our reporter Peter Branigan that things are going well for them at the moment.

"We've rode our luck a lot over the couple of weeks. We could have lost it there, Davy O'Sullivan had a shot that was basically cleared off the line at the end.

"The rub of the green might be going our way, but God, you need it.

"Owen has a great squad, they're going to be challenging come the end of the season. So it isn't a bad point up here."

Harps played in the Premier Division last year, but Horgan says the standard is similar this season.

"Anyone who isn't at games might underestimate it, but we struggled last year in the Premier Division. And this is very similar to that standard, to be honest with you."

Despite sitting comfortably in the top half of the table, Horgan says his squad is at breaking point.

"We've a very small panel, to be honest with you, and it's kind of coming back to haunt us. We've a number of senior players out injured.

"The squad mightn't be big enough to try to maintain our form at the moment.

"We more or less have gone for the same core group in our last three games. Owen was able to rest players recently, and that's not an excuse. Shelbourne have a bigger panel, and I'd love to be able to rest people."

And Horgan doesn't know what the solution is, in the short term.

"We certainly need bodies in, and I don't know how that's going to be addressed. We don't have a budget for it really.

"We had to bring on Niall McGinley, when Thomas McBride got injured. He's seventeen years of age, a great kid. But we've a lot of kids in the squad.

"It's going to take time for those players to get experience."
