Transfer round-up - November 18, 2022

Transfer season is well and truly underway as Bohs have hit the ground running looking to bounce into a stronger 2023. Former Left-Back Paddy Kirk, born in North-Dublin, returns home as he has signed up to Declan Devine's squad for a second spell in Dalymount.

Adam McDonnell will also join the Phibsborough outfit completing a double swoop from Sligo Rovers who had finished above Bohs in 2022. The duo join Keith Buckley who is also returning to Dalymount.

Keeping with Sligo Rovers, The Bit O' Red, have re-signed Greg Bolger for 2023, who will also take up a First Team Coaching role while they have also gone to Sweden to sign Johan Brannefalk as their first signing ahead of the 2023 SSE Airtricity Premier Division season.

The 24-year-old Swedish right back will link up with new boss John Russell next week as the Bit O’Red’s preparations for next year get underway in earnest.

One of the League's finest Goalkeepers, Brendan Clarke, is also on the move as he confirmed a departure from Shels with a new club unknown at the time of writing. Clarke is joined out the Shelbourne door by Aaron O'Driscoll, Josh Giurgi, Dan Carr and Daniel Hawkins.

There were several incomings at Tolka Park on Friday, however, as Tyreke Wilson has become a team mate of his brother JR at Shels after making the move from across the Royal Canal from Bohs.

Damien Duff also secured the signings of Galway United goalkeeper Conor Kearns and St Patrick’s Athletic young attacker Kyle Robinson.

Kerry FC, meanwhile, haven't had to deal with any departures as they are brand new to the league! We'd like to welcome the new Club to the wonderful world of the League of Ireland and are excited to see who they bring into the fold for 2023.

There is also a new figurehead in place at Bray Wanderers, where Ian Ryan has taken over as Head Coach. At Wexford, James Keddy has taken the former's place in the Ferrycarrig Park dugout.

Dundalk also moved to secure the re-signings of Paul Doyle and Andy Boyle as announced on Friday by the Oriel Park outfit.

Finally, Chris Lyons has brought to an end a five-year spell at Drogheda United with his departure confirmed by the Club.
